Instead of wondering how interested he is in you, ask what you did to make him interested in you.
The guy was fishing for information to get some idea of who you are. When the two of you started talking about your hobbies, neither showed too much enthusiasm. Fortunately some life was brought back into the conversation when you guys talked about meeting up. It seems like the guy was ready to see you without having the conversation above.
I suggest only texting him about the logistics of meeting up - your texting needs work and he's already interested enough to meet with you in-person.
