Text Like a Movie Character

Real-life dialogue is often choppy, boring, repetitive and awkward. Compare that to movie dialogue, which is:

  • Smooth flowing
  • Always interesting
  • Never wordy
  • Never awkward (unless it’s a Judd Apatow movie)
  • Quotable

These are all good traits that you want your texts to have. So our advice is to text like a movie character.

When you hear especially good dialogue flowing out of a character’s mouth, from a great screenwriter like Quentin Tarantino or Aaron Sorkin, it’s not just smooth — it’s poetic. Similarly, if you have a way with words and can channel your talent into texting, your messages are poetic too.
